ASTORFLEX is a sixth-generation, family-run manufacturer that builds their shoes by hand in Northern Italy. Presenting the RONDIFLEX, the brand’s unique take on the classic wingtip. Crafted from locally-sourced suede with a leather interior and an ergonomic footbed – and 100% natural crepe rubber sole. Comes with a removable inner sole an additional pair of leather laces.
All ASTORFLEX models are designed and developed to be comfortable. Above all, they are flexible, soft and quickly adapt to the user’s feet. They employ Italian leather for the upper shoe, in particular leather coming from master tanneries in Tuscany.
The lining and insoles are in vegetable-tanned calf leather, obtained by soaking the leather in a mixture of water and powdered oak bark and mimosa, without using dies or color finishes. This process makes the leather healthier, hypoallergenic and guarantees greater sweat absorption for dry, odorless feet.
Most of the ASTORFLEX soles are in natural rubber consisting in coagulated latex from the rubber tree (hevea brasilianis) – and the various shoe parts are assembled using water-based adhesives.
